Who we are
BPTally is built by DJUMP, MB, an independent software studio based in Klaipėda, Lithuania. We make a focused blood pressure diary for people who track their readings at home and want a clean, doctor-ready summary to bring to a cardiology or primary-care appointment. The app records the readings you take with your own cuff, categorizes them using the AHA/ACC 2017 guideline ranges, and exports a one-page PDF.
Who writes the blog
Our articles are written by the BPTally Editorial Team. We are writers and product people, not clinicians. We write plain-language explainers about measuring and understanding blood pressure, and we are honest about the limits of that: nothing here is personalized medical advice.
Editorial principles
- Educational, not advice. Articles help you understand a topic and have a better conversation with your own clinician — they do not diagnose or treat.
- We cite primary sources. Where an article makes a clinical claim, we link to recognized authorities — the American Heart Association (AHA/ACC), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC/ESH), the World Health Organization, and national hypertension societies.
- Not clinician-reviewed. Our content is not currently reviewed by a licensed physician. We do not present it as expert medical opinion, and we never invent credentials or reviewers.
- We keep it current. When guidance changes, we update the article and its “last updated” date.
How BPTally makes money
BPTally is free to use, with an optional paid upgrade for long-term history, advanced stats, and the doctor-export PDF. We do not run ads, and we do not sell your health data — full stop. An honest blood pressure app earns money from an optional upgrade, not from your data.
